अता॑रिष्म॒ तम॑सस्पा॒रम॒स्य प्रति॑ वां॒ स्तोमो॑ अश्विनावधायि । एह या॑तं प॒थिभि॑र्देव॒यानै॑र्वि॒द्यामे॒षं वृ॒जनं॑ जी॒रदा॑नुम् ॥
अतारिष्म तमसस्पारमस्य प्रति वां स्तोमो अश्विनावधायि । एह यातं पथिभिर्देवयानैर्विद्यामेषं वृजनं जीरदानुम् ॥
atāriṣma tamasas pāram asya prati vāṃ stomo aśvināv adhāyi | eha yātam pathibhir devayānair vidyāmeṣaṃ vṛjanaṃ jīradānum ||
English translation:
“(Through your aid), Aśvins, we cross over the limit of darkness; to you this (our hymn) has been addressed; come hither by the path traversed by thd gods, thatwe may obtain food, strength and long life.”
