अ॒यं य॒ज्ञो दे॑व॒या अ॒यं मि॒येध॑ इ॒मा ब्रह्मा॑ण्य॒यमि॑न्द्र॒ सोम॑: । स्ती॒र्णं ब॒र्हिरा तु श॑क्र॒ प्र या॑हि॒ पिबा॑ नि॒षद्य॒ वि मु॑चा॒ हरी॑ इ॒ह ॥
अयं यज्ञो देवया अयं मियेध इमा ब्रह्माण्ययमिन्द्र सोमः । स्तीर्णं बर्हिरा तु शक्र प्र याहि पिबा निषद्य वि मुचा हरी इह ॥
ayaṃ yajño devayā ayam miyedha imā brahmāṇy ayam indra somaḥ | stīrṇam barhir ā tu śakra pra yāhi pibā niṣadya vi mucā harī iha ||
English translation:
“This is the sacrifice offered to the gods; this is the offering of the victim; these are the prayers; this, Indra, is the Soma; the sacred grass is ready strewn; come, therefore, Indra, quickly, sit down, drink (the libation); here let loose your steeds.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
This is the offering of the victim: ayam miyedha; miyedha is an epithet of yajña, from medha = paśu, a victim
