यू॒यं न॑ उग्रा मरुतः सुचे॒तुनारि॑ष्टग्रामाः सुम॒तिं पि॑पर्तन । यत्रा॑ वो दि॒द्युद्रद॑ति॒ क्रिवि॑र्दती रि॒णाति॑ प॒श्वः सुधि॑तेव ब॒र्हणा॑ ॥
यूयं न उग्रा मरुतः सुचेतुनारिष्टग्रामाः सुमतिं पिपर्तन । यत्रा वो दिद्युद्रदति क्रिविर्दती रिणाति पश्वः सुधितेव बर्हणा ॥
yūyaṃ na ugrā marutaḥ sucetunāriṣṭagrāmāḥ sumatim pipartana | yatrā vo didyud radati krivirdatī riṇāti paśvaḥ sudhiteva barhaṇā ||

English translation:

“Fierce Maruts, free from malevolence in your kindly thoughts, fulfil towards us your good purposes; when your missile lightning rends (the clouds), as a well-hurled weapon wound the deer.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Asa a well-hurled weapon: paśvaḥ sudhiteva barhaṇā: paśūn is connected with with krivirdatī, the missile of the winds; when the wind blows, animals are withered or chilled
