कुत॒स्त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ माहि॑न॒: सन्नेको॑ यासि सत्पते॒ किं त॑ इ॒त्था । सं पृ॑च्छसे समरा॒णः शु॑भा॒नैर्वो॒चेस्तन्नो॑ हरिवो॒ यत्ते॑ अ॒स्मे ॥
कुतस्त्वमिन्द्र माहिनः सन्नेको यासि सत्पते किं त इत्था । सं पृच्छसे समराणः शुभानैर्वोचेस्तन्नो हरिवो यत्ते अस्मे ॥
kutas tvam indra māhinaḥ sann eko yāsi satpate kiṃ ta itthā | sam pṛcchase samarāṇaḥ śubhānair voces tan no harivo yat te asme ||
English translation:
“(The Maruts): Indra, lord of the good, whither do you, who are entitled to honour, proceed alone; what means this (absence of attendance); when followed (by us), you require (what is right); lord of fleet horses say to us, with plural asant words, that which you (have to say) to us.”
