Rig Veda 1.164.8

मा॒ता पि॒तर॑मृ॒त आ ब॑भाज धी॒त्यग्रे॒ मन॑सा॒ सं हि ज॒ग्मे । सा बी॑भ॒त्सुर्गर्भ॑रसा॒ निवि॑द्धा॒ नम॑स्वन्त॒ इदु॑पवा॒कमी॑युः ॥
माता पितरमृत आ बभाज धीत्यग्रे मनसा सं हि जग्मे । सा बीभत्सुर्गर्भरसा निविद्धा नमस्वन्त इदुपवाकमीयुः ॥
mātā pitaram ṛta ā babhāja dhīty agre manasā saṃ hi jagme | sā bībhatsur garbharasā nividdhā namasvanta id upavākam īyuḥ ||

English translation:

“The mother, (earth), worships the father, (sun), with holy rites, for the sake of water; but he has anticipated (her wants) in his mind; whereupon desirous of progeny, she is penetrated by the dews of impregnation, and, (all) expectant of abundance, exchange words (of congratulation).”
