Rig Veda 1.159.2

उ॒त म॑न्ये पि॒तुर॒द्रुहो॒ मनो॑ मा॒तुर्महि॒ स्वत॑व॒स्तद्धवी॑मभिः । सु॒रेत॑सा पि॒तरा॒ भूम॑ चक्रतुरु॒रु प्र॒जाया॑ अ॒मृतं॒ वरी॑मभिः ॥
उत मन्ये पितुरद्रुहो मनो मातुर्महि स्वतवस्तद्धवीमभिः । सुरेतसा पितरा भूम चक्रतुरुरु प्रजाया अमृतं वरीमभिः ॥
uta manye pitur adruho mano mātur mahi svatavas tad dhavīmabhiḥ | suretasā pitarā bhūma cakratur uru prajāyā amṛtaṃ varīmabhiḥ ||

English translation:

“Verily I propitiate, by my invocations, the mind of the benevolent father, and the great and spontaneous (affection) of the mother (of all beings). The parents, with kindness, have secured, by their excellent protections, the vast and manifold immortality of their progeny.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

The mother of all beings: Heaven, dyuloka is the father, and earth, pṛthivi, the mother: dyaur vaḥ pitā, pṛthivī mātā;

Mātā = antarikṣa, the firmament (mātāntarikṣam nirmāyantesminbhūtāni-- Nirukta 2.8)
