पा॒हि न॑ इन्द्र सुष्टुत स्रि॒धो॑ऽवया॒ता सद॒मिद्दु॑र्मती॒नां दे॒वः सन्दु॑र्मती॒नाम् । ह॒न्ता पा॒पस्य॑ र॒क्षस॑स्त्रा॒ता विप्र॑स्य॒ माव॑तः । अधा॒ हि त्वा॑ जनि॒ता जीज॑नद्वसो रक्षो॒हणं॑ त्वा॒ जीज॑नद्वसो ॥
पाहि न इन्द्र सुष्टुत स्रिधोऽवयाता सदमिद्दुर्मतीनां देवः सन्दुर्मतीनाम् । हन्ता पापस्य रक्षसस्त्राता विप्रस्य मावतः । अधा हि त्वा जनिता जीजनद्वसो रक्षोहणं त्वा जीजनद्वसो ॥
pāhi na indra suṣṭuta sridho 'vayātā sadam id durmatīnāṃ devaḥ san durmatīnām | hantā pāpasya rakṣasas trātā viprasya māvataḥ | adhā hi tvā janitā jījanad vaso rakṣohaṇaṃ tvā jījanad vaso ||

English translation:

“Deservedly-lauded Indra, preserve us from suffering; for you are always verily the chastiser of the malevolent; your, being divine, (are the chastiser) of the malevolent; (you are) the slayer of the wicked rakṣas, the preserver of a pious (worshipper), such as I am; for asylum (of all men), the progenitor has begotten (for this purpose); has begotten you, asylum (of all men), the destroyer of the rākṣasas.”
