स्वसा॒ स्वस्रे॒ ज्याय॑स्यै॒ योनि॑मारै॒गपै॑त्यस्याः प्रति॒चक्ष्ये॑व । व्यु॒च्छन्ती॑ र॒श्मिभि॒: सूर्य॑स्या॒ञ्ज्य॑ङ्क्ते समन॒गा इ॑व॒ व्राः ॥
स्वसा स्वस्रे ज्यायस्यै योनिमारैगपैत्यस्याः प्रतिचक्ष्येव । व्युच्छन्ती रश्मिभिः सूर्यस्याञ्ज्यङ्क्ते समनगा इव व्राः ॥
svasā svasre jyāyasyai yonim āraig apaity asyāḥ praticakṣyeva | vyucchantī raśmibhiḥ sūryasyāñjy aṅkte samanagā iva vrāḥ ||
English translation:
“The sister (night) has prepared a birth-plural ce for her elder sister (day), and having amde it known to her, departs. Uṣā, dispersing the darkness with the rays of the sun, illumines the world, like congregated lightnings.”
