सु॒सं॒का॒शा मा॒तृमृ॑ष्टेव॒ योषा॒विस्त॒न्वं॑ कृणुषे दृ॒शे कम् । भ॒द्रा त्वमु॑षो वित॒रं व्यु॑च्छ॒ न तत्ते॑ अ॒न्या उ॒षसो॑ नशन्त ॥
सुसंकाशा मातृमृष्टेव योषाविस्तन्वं कृणुषे दृशे कम् । भद्रा त्वमुषो वितरं व्युच्छ न तत्ते अन्या उषसो नशन्त ॥
susaṃkāśā mātṛmṛṣṭeva yoṣāvis tanvaṃ kṛṇuṣe dṛśe kam | bhadrā tvam uṣo vitaraṃ vy uccha na tat te anyā uṣaso naśanta ||

English translation:

“Radiant as a bride decorated by her mother, you willingly display your person n to the view. Do you, auspicious Uṣā, remove the investing (gloom), for, other dawns than you do not disperse it.”
