सु॒षु॒प्वांसं॒ न निॠ॑तेरु॒पस्थे॒ सूर्यं॒ न द॑स्रा॒ तम॑सि क्षि॒यन्त॑म् । शु॒भे रु॒क्मं न द॑र्श॒तं निखा॑त॒मुदू॑पथुरश्विना॒ वन्द॑नाय ॥
सुषुप्वांसं न निॠतेरुपस्थे सूर्यं न दस्रा तमसि क्षियन्तम् । शुभे रुक्मं न दर्शतं निखातमुदूपथुरश्विना वन्दनाय ॥
suṣupvāṃsaṃ na nirṛter upasthe sūryaṃ na dasrā tamasi kṣiyantam | śubhe rukmaṃ na darśataṃ nikhātam ud ūpathur aśvinā vandanāya ||
English translation:
“You extricated, Dasras, the sage (Vandanā) cast into a well, like a handsome and splendid ornament designed for embellishment, and (lying) Aśvins, like one sleepin gon the lap of the earth or like the sun disappearing in darkness.”
