ईळे॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी पू॒र्वचि॑त्तये॒ऽग्निं घ॒र्मं सु॒रुचं॒ याम॑न्नि॒ष्टये॑ । याभि॒र्भरे॑ का॒रमंशा॑य॒ जिन्व॑थ॒स्ताभि॑रू॒ षु ऊ॒तिभि॑रश्वि॒ना ग॑तम् ॥
ईळे द्यावापृथिवी पूर्वचित्तयेऽग्निं घर्मं सुरुचं यामन्निष्टये । याभिर्भरे कारमंशाय जिन्वथस्ताभिरू षु ऊतिभिरश्विना गतम् ॥
īḻe dyāvāpṛthivī pūrvacittaye 'gniṃ gharmaṃ surucaṃ yāmann iṣṭaye | yābhir bhare kāram aṃśāya jinvathas tābhir ū ṣu ūtibhir aśvinā gatam ||

English translation:

“I praise Heaven and Earth for preliminary meditation, (prior to the coming of the Aśvins); I praise the hot and bright-shining Agni upon their approach, (as preparatory) to their worship; with those appliances with which you sound the conch-shell in battle for your share (in the booty), with those aids, Aśvins, come willingly hither.”
