भरा॑मे॒ध्मं कृ॒णवा॑मा ह॒वींषि॑ ते चि॒तय॑न्त॒: पर्व॑णापर्वणा व॒यम् । जी॒वात॑वे प्रत॒रं सा॑धया॒ धियोऽग्ने॑ स॒ख्ये मा रि॑षामा व॒यं तव॑ ॥
भरामेध्मं कृणवामा हवींषि ते चितयन्तः पर्वणापर्वणा वयम् । जीवातवे प्रतरं साधया धियोऽग्ने सख्ये मा रिषामा वयं तव ॥
bharāmedhmaṃ kṛṇavāmā havīṃṣi te citayantaḥ parvaṇā-parvaṇā vayam | jīvātave prataraṃ sādhayā dhiyo 'gne sakhye mā riṣāmā vayaṃ tava ||
English translation:
“We bring fuel, we offer oblations, reminding you of the successive seasons (of worship); do you thoroughly complete the rite, in order to prolong our lives; let us not suffer injury, Agni, through your friendship.”
