प्रत्य॒र्ची रुश॑दस्या अदर्शि॒ वि ति॑ष्ठते॒ बाध॑ते कृ॒ष्णमभ्व॑म् । स्वरुं॒ न पेशो॑ वि॒दथे॑ष्व॒ञ्जञ्चि॒त्रं दि॒वो दु॑हि॒ता भा॒नुम॑श्रेत् ॥
प्रत्यर्ची रुशदस्या अदर्शि वि तिष्ठते बाधते कृष्णमभ्वम् । स्वरुं न पेशो विदथेष्वञ्जञ्चित्रं दिवो दुहिता भानुमश्रेत् ॥
praty arcī ruśad asyā adarśi vi tiṣṭhate bādhate kṛṣṇam abhvam | svaruṃ na peśo vidatheṣv añjañ citraṃ divo duhitā bhānum aśret ||

English translation:

“Her brilliant light is first seen towards (the east); it spreads and disperses the thick darkness; she anoints her beauty as the priests anoint the sacrificial food in sacrifices; the daughter of the sky awaits the glorious sun.”
