इ॒मे चि॒त्तव॑ म॒न्यवे॒ वेपे॑ते भि॒यसा॑ म॒ही । यदि॑न्द्र वज्रि॒न्नोज॑सा वृ॒त्रं म॒रुत्वाँ॒ अव॑धी॒रर्च॒न्ननु॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म् ॥
इमे चित्तव मन्यवे वेपेते भियसा मही । यदिन्द्र वज्रिन्नोजसा वृत्रं मरुत्वाँ अवधीरर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
ime cit tava manyave vepete bhiyasā mahī | yad indra vajrinn ojasā vṛtram marutvām̐ avadhīr arcann anu svarājyam ||
English translation:
“This heaven and earth trembled, thunderer, at your wrath, when, attended by the Maruts, you slew Vṛtra by your prowess, manifesting your own sovereignty.”
