दे॒वो न यः पृ॑थि॒वीं वि॒श्वधा॑या उप॒क्षेति॑ हि॒तमि॑त्रो॒ न राजा॑ । पु॒र॒:सद॑: शर्म॒सदो॒ न वी॒रा अ॑नव॒द्या पति॑जुष्टेव॒ नारी॑ ॥
देवो न यः पृथिवीं विश्वधाया उपक्षेति हितमित्रो न राजा । पुरःसदः शर्मसदो न वीरा अनवद्या पतिजुष्टेव नारी ॥
devo na yaḥ pṛthivīṃ viśvadhāyā upakṣeti hitamitro na rājā | puraḥsadaḥ śarmasado na vīrā anavadyā patijuṣṭeva nārī ||
English translation:
“He who, like the divine (Sun), is the supporter of the universe, abides on earth like a prince, (surrounded by) faithful friends; in his presence, men sit down like sons in the dwelling of a parent, and (in purity he resembles) an irreproachable and beloved wife.”
