स पर्व॑तो॒ न ध॒रुणे॒ष्वच्यु॑तः स॒हस्र॑मूति॒स्तवि॑षीषु वावृधे । इन्द्रो॒ यद्वृ॒त्रमव॑धीन्नदी॒वृत॑मु॒ब्जन्नर्णां॑सि॒ जर्हृ॑षाणो॒ अन्ध॑सा ॥
स पर्वतो न धरुणेष्वच्युतः सहस्रमूतिस्तविषीषु वावृधे । इन्द्रो यद्वृत्रमवधीन्नदीवृतमुब्जन्नर्णांसि जर्हृषाणो अन्धसा ॥
sa parvato na dharuṇeṣv acyutaḥ sahasramūtis taviṣīṣu vāvṛdhe | indro yad vṛtram avadhīn nadīvṛtam ubjann arṇāṃsi jarhṛṣāṇo andhasā ||
English translation:
“When Indra, who delights in the sacrificial food, had slain the stream-obstructing Vṛtra, and was pouring down the waters, he stood firm amid the torrents like a mountain, and endowed with a thousand means of protecting (his votaries) increased in vigour.”
