अयु॑क्त स॒प्त शु॒न्ध्युव॒: सूरो॒ रथ॑स्य न॒प्त्य॑: । ताभि॑र्याति॒ स्वयु॑क्तिभिः ॥
अयुक्त सप्त शुन्ध्युवः सूरो रथस्य नप्त्यः । ताभिर्याति स्वयुक्तिभिः ॥
ayukta sapta śundhyuvaḥ sūro rathasya naptyaḥ | tābhir yāti svayuktibhiḥ ||
English translation:
“The Sun has yoked the seven mares that safely draw his chariot, and comes with them self-harnessed.”

Sapta śundhyuvaḥ; aśva-stṛyaḥ = mares; they are also naptyaḥ, since the car does not fall because of them, yābhir na patati rathaḥ
