Rig Veda 1.47.2

त्रि॒व॒न्धु॒रेण॑ त्रि॒वृता॑ सु॒पेश॑सा॒ रथे॒ना या॑तमश्विना । कण्वा॑सो वां॒ ब्रह्म॑ कृण्वन्त्यध्व॒रे तेषां॒ सु शृ॑णुतं॒ हव॑म् ॥
त्रिवन्धुरेण त्रिवृता सुपेशसा रथेना यातमश्विना । कण्वासो वां ब्रह्म कृण्वन्त्यध्वरे तेषां सु शृणुतं हवम् ॥
trivandhureṇa trivṛtā supeśasā rathenā yātam aśvinā | kaṇvāso vām brahma kṛṇvanty adhvare teṣāṃ su śṛṇutaṃ havam ||

English translation:

“Come, Aśvins, with your three-columned triangular car; the Kaṇvas repeat your praise at the sacrifice; graciously hear their invocation.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Trivandhureṇa trivṛta rathenā, with a car with three posts and triangular is an earlier explanation; in the context of this hymn, the rendering is: having three undulating fastenings of timber, and passing unobstructedly through the three worlds
