Rig Veda 1.42.1

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

सं पू॑ष॒न्नध्व॑नस्तिर॒ व्यंहो॑ विमुचो नपात् । सक्ष्वा॑ देव॒ प्र ण॑स्पु॒रः ॥
सं पूषन्नध्वनस्तिर व्यंहो विमुचो नपात् । सक्ष्वा देव प्र णस्पुरः ॥
sam pūṣann adhvanas tira vy aṃho vimuco napāt | sakṣvā deva pra ṇas puraḥ ||

English translation:

“Pūṣanm convey us over the road, remove the wicked (obsructer of the way). Son of the cloud, deity, go before us.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

pūṣan is one of the 12 ādityas. He presides over the earth: pṛthivyābhimānī devaḥ; he cherishes the world: from pus', to nourish. He presides over journeying or the roads
