Rig Veda 1.36.20

त्वे॒षासो॑ अ॒ग्नेरम॑वन्तो अ॒र्चयो॑ भी॒मासो॒ न प्रती॑तये । र॒क्ष॒स्विन॒: सद॒मिद्या॑तु॒माव॑तो॒ विश्वं॒ सम॒त्रिणं॑ दह ॥
त्वेषासो अग्नेरमवन्तो अर्चयो भीमासो न प्रतीतये । रक्षस्विनः सदमिद्यातुमावतो विश्वं समत्रिणं दह ॥
tveṣāso agner amavanto arcayo bhīmāso na pratītaye | rakṣasvinaḥ sadam id yātumāvato viśvaṃ sam atriṇaṃ daha ||

English translation:

“The flames of Agni are luminous, powerful, fearful, and not to be trusted. Ever assuredly and entirely consume the mighty spirits of evil and all our other adversarieṣ ”
