Rig Veda 1.25.4

परा॒ हि मे॒ विम॑न्यव॒: पत॑न्ति॒ वस्य॑इष्टये । वयो॒ न व॑स॒तीरुप॑ ॥
परा हि मे विमन्यवः पतन्ति वस्यइष्टये । वयो न वसतीरुप ॥
parā hi me vimanyavaḥ patanti vasyaïṣṭaye | vayo na vasatīr upa ||

English translation:

“My tranquil (meditations) revert to the desire of life, as birds hover around their nests. = vasya iṣṭaye = vasumataḥ, precious (i.e. jīvasya, life's).”
