अव॑ ते॒ हेळो॑ वरुण॒ नमो॑भि॒रव॑ य॒ज्ञेभि॑रीमहे ह॒विर्भि॑: । क्षय॑न्न॒स्मभ्य॑मसुर प्रचेता॒ राज॒न्नेनां॑सि शिश्रथः कृ॒तानि॑ ॥
अव ते हेळो वरुण नमोभिरव यज्ञेभिरीमहे हविर्भिः । क्षयन्नस्मभ्यमसुर प्रचेता राजन्नेनांसि शिश्रथः कृतानि ॥
ava te heḻo varuṇa namobhir ava yajñebhir īmahe havirbhiḥ | kṣayann asmabhyam asura pracetā rājann enāṃsi śiśrathaḥ kṛtāni ||
English translation:
“Varuṇa, we deprecate your wrath with prostrations, with sacrifices, with oblations; averter of misfortune, wise and illustrious, be present amongst us, and mitigate the evils we have committed.”
