इन्द्र॒मिद्गा॒थिनो॑ बृ॒हदिन्द्र॑म॒र्केभि॑र॒र्किण॑: । इन्द्रं॒ वाणी॑रनूषत ॥
इन्द्रमिद्गाथिनो बृहदिन्द्रमर्केभिरर्किणः । इन्द्रं वाणीरनूषत ॥
indram id gāthino bṛhad indram arkebhir arkiṇaḥ | indraṃ vāṇīr anūṣata ||

English translation:

“The chanters (of the Soma) extol Indra with songs, the reciters of the Ṛk with prayers, the priests of the Yajuṣ, with texts.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Gāthina = singers; gīyamānasāma-yuktā udgātāraḥ, the udgatās with sāmas to be chanted;

Bṛhat = bṛhatā, songs, with the bṛhat-sāma; arkinaḥ arkebhiḥ = those of the Ṛgveda, with hymns;

Arka = mantra, prayer;

Vāṇīḥ = vāṇībhiḥ, with texts or words (a reference, perhaps either to the singers or the reciters of the prayers, perhaps to the texts of the yajus
