Part 14 - Treatment for enlargement of spleen and liver (13): Chitrakadi Lauha

Three tolas, each, of roots of chitraka, shunthi, roots of a palm tree, ashes of the roots of apamarga, and tuber of mana; and one tola, each, of iron, mica, pippali, copper, java-kshara, and pancha-lavana are to be boiled with four prasthas (4 x 64 tolas) of cows urine by a mild heat. When cooled, eight tolas of honey is to be mixed with the liquid. (Dose, six raktis, each). This medicine cures enlargement of spleen and liver, gulma, chronic diarrhoea, swelling due to anemia, dullness of the digesting heat, fever, jaundice, anemia, dislocation of the rectum, and dysentery.
