Part 26 - Treatment for indigestion (24): Ajirnari rasa

Four tolas? each, of mercury and sulphur, eight tolas of haritaki, twelve tolas each, of shunthi, pippali, maricha, and rocksalt, and sixteen tolas of bhanga are to be rubbed with lemon juice, and subjected to the sun’s heat by puta, for seven times. This medicine immediately increases appetite, and digests food, even double in quantity to the ordinary meal. It also serves to clear the bowels.
