Part 18 - Treatment for indigestion (16): Lavangadi rasa

Equal quantities of lavanga, jatiphala, dhanya, kustha, jira, black jira, trikatu, triphala, ela, guratvak, borax, burnt cowri-shell, musta, vacha, jainani, vira-salt and rock-salt; mercury, sulphur and mica, combined in equal quantities, equal to all the ingredients from lavanga to rock-salt, combined; and iron, equal in quantity to all those (viz. lavanga to rocksalt), combined, arc to be rubbed together with the juice of betel leaves. Pills are then to be made, three raktis in weight each, to be taken with hot water. This medicine cures grahani, dysentery, fever, colic, due to an excess of kapha, leprosy, amlapitta, weakness of the power of digestion, and flatulence.
