Part 12 - Treatment for diarrhea (3): Amritarnava rasa

One tola each of mercury, sulphur, iron, borax, shathi, dhanya, balaka, musta, patha, jira and ativisa are to be rubbed together with goat’s milk, and made into pills, six raktis in weight, each. This medicine is to be taken in the morning with honey and any one of the following?—decoction of dhanya and jira, bhanga, powdered seeds of shana, goat’s milk, paste prepared from boiled rice, cold water, juice of banana flower, and juice of kanchata grass. This medicine cures all sorts of diarrhoea, acute or chronic, colic, piles, amlapitta, cough, gulma, and loss of digestive power.
