Treatment for fever (153): Purnanada rasa
One tola, each, of mercury, sulphur, copper, mica, copper pyrites, gold, silver, and orpiment; and four tolas of lode-stone are to be subjected to bhavana with each of the following, in succession:—juice of leaves of karabella, decoction of dashamula, decoction of parpata, decoction of triphala, decoction of guruchi juice of betel leaves, juice of kakamachi leaves, juice of leaves of nirgundi, juice of punarnava, and juice of ginger. Pills are then to be made, two raktis in weight each. This medicine cures, in a week, any kind of fever (except, of course, fever due to consumption). It also cures indigestion, anaemia, spleen, and cough. Accompaniment, old molasses and powdered pippali. Diet boiled shali rice, butter-milk, and fish.
