Treatment for fever (142): Laksmi-vilasa rasa

Four tolas in weight of mica, two tolas of mercury and sulphur each, and one tola each of briddhadaraka, seeds of dhustura, seeds of bhanga, roots of shatabari. roots of nagabala, roots of atibala, seeds of gokshura, and samudra phala are to be rubbed together with the juice of betel leaves, and made into pills three raktis in weight each. It cures all sorts of fevers, leprosy, spermatorrhoea, ulcer, fistula, philaria, scrofula, hernia rheumatism, paralysis of the tongue, udara-roga, cough, pinasa, piles, obesity, etc. It is a good aphrodisiac. It is desirable to take meat or milk, after taking this medicine.
