Treatment for fever (139): Shlesma-shailendra rasa

One tola each of sulphur, mercury, mica, trikatu, jira, black jira, shathi, karkatashringi, jamani, puskara-mula (or kustha), hingu, rock-salt, javaksara, borax, gajapippali, jatikosa, ajamoda, iron, duralabha, cloves seeds of dhutura, katphala, and roots of chitraka are to be rubbed together, and subjected to bhavana with the juice or decoction of the roots of the following, in succession:—bilva, arka, chitraka, danti, apamarga, laghu, jivanti, basaka, nirgundi, agnimantha, dhustura leaves, black jira, pari bhadra, pippali, kantakari, and ginger. Pills are then to be made, one rakti in weight each. Accompaniment, juice of ginger, mixed with hot water. It cures all sorts of diseases, due to an excess of phlegm, and specially spermatorrhoea, head diseases, gulma, udararoga, hernia, rheumatism, anaemia, worms, obesity, udavarta, fever and skin diseases. It increases appetite.
