Treatment for fever (88): Arogya-bhairava rasa

Four parts of mercury, four parts of aconite, four parts of sulphur, and two parts of jatiphala, and seven parts of powdered pippali are to be rubbed together with water and made into pills one or two raktis in weight each. Accompaniments, juice of betel-leaves, or of ginger, or of the leaves of of dronapuspi. This medicine cures fever accompanied with a sensation of coldness, sannipatika fever, cholera, visama-jvara, pinasa, fever attended with catarrh, indigestion, loss of appetite, vomiting, and head diseases.
