It is digestive, producing a cooling effect in the system, saltish-sweet in taste, light, soft, increaser of power of digestion and liking for food, beneficial to eye-sight, increaser of semen, pacifier of the three doshas, capable of entering everywhere into the system, and destroyer of constipation and boils.
