Summary: This is the English translation of the Prem Sagar written by in the early 19th century. This was one of the first modern Hindi books written in the Delhi dialect. The Prem Sagar (meaning “ocean of Love”) narrates the exploits of Krishna, an avatar of Vishnu, based on the tenth book of the Bhagavata Purana. This book however conists of fifty chapters.

The title Prem Sagar is alternatively known as Prem Sagur, Premasagara or Premsagar.
