Story 233 - Cure of Ignorance

When a good looking baby has an attack of smallpox, his life is endangered. To safeguard against this dreaded disease, the Vaccination prepared from the udder of the cow is necessary. In the same way, the Hindu nation has contracted the contagion of small-pox of ignorance. Her blooming face has become ugly. She, therefore, stands in need of vaccination. But whence will the lymph come for her vaccination? It will also be taken from cow's udder (go-dhan) 'Go' also means Upanishad. It is, therefore, necessary to learn Brahma Vidya (knowledge of Self) through Upanishad and, by practising its teaching, this small-pox of ignorance is sure to be cured soon.
