Story 161 - Majority no Proof of Truth

A Man in Parliament

A man in the house of Parliament in London, who was a great orator, was hooted. Do you know what words lie spoke afterwards? He said, "What, if you have the majority on your side." He spoke to the opposite party, "Opinions ought to be weighed, they ought not to be counted." Majority is no proof of truth.

MORAL: Majority does not always consist of wise men; hence it is no proof of Truth.
