वृते सत्प्रति बन्धित्वा त्पादबन्धमितीष्पते ।
छेद्यं तत्पादबन्धं स्यादच्छेद्यं प्रतिबन्धनम् ।
तदङ्गं परितश्छेद्यमर्धच्छेद्यं न कारयेत् ॥ 31 ॥

vṛte satprati bandhitvā tpādabandhamitīṣpate |
chedyaṃ tatpādabandhaṃ syādacchedyaṃ pratibandhanam |
tadaṅgaṃ paritaśchedyamardhacchedyaṃ na kārayet || 31 ||
