The Padma-purana verse 2.4.38 (Sanskrit text), including grammatical analysis, glossary and relevant print editions. मद्वाक्यं पालितं तेन कृता न मातरि कृपा ।
एतत्स्वल्पतरं दुःखं निर्जीवे घातमिच्छतः ॥ ३८ ॥

madvākyaṃ pālitaṃ tena kṛtā na mātari kṛpā |
etatsvalpataraṃ duḥkhaṃ nirjīve ghātamicchataḥ || 38 ||
