द्वीपी दृष्ट्वा तु तां धेनुं क्रंदमानां सुदुःखिताम् ।
उवाच वचनं घोरं धेनुके किं प्ररुद्यते ॥ २९० ॥

dvīpī dṛṣṭvā tu tāṃ dhenuṃ kraṃdamānāṃ suduḥkhitām |
uvāca vacanaṃ ghoraṃ dhenuke kiṃ prarudyate || 290 ||
