This Sanskrit edition of the Moksopaya. It is a large philosophical text dealing with “the science of liberation”. Similar to the Yoga-vasistha in content, the Mokshopaya-shastra was likely its predecessor, said to contain 30,000 shlokas (metrical verses). One of the core philosophies of the texts teaches the non-existence of cognitive objects; while holding such a view leads to an attitude of dispassion towards worldly matters.

अभ्युदिते तु चित्तविमलार्कबिम्बे सकलविकल्पोद्दामतिमिरहारिणि न तदस्ति राघव यन्न दृश्यते यन्नासाद्यते यन्नात्मीक्रियते यन्न परित्यज्यते यन्न श्रीयते नात्मीयं यन्न परकीयं । सर्वं सर्वदा सर्वो भवतीति परमार्थः ॥ ९ ॥
