dhanuḥśataṃ parīhāro grāmasya syāt samantataḥ |
śamyāpātās trayo vāpi triguṇo nagarasya tu || Verse 8.237 ||
Medhātithi Manubhāṣya
caturhastaṃ dhanus teṣāṃ śatam | catvāri hastaśatāni | samantataś catasṛṣu dikṣu | grāmasya parīhāraḥ kartavyaḥ | anuptasasyā bhūmiḥ paśūnāṃ sukhapracārārthā kartavyā | śamyā daṇḍayaṣṭiḥ, sā bāhuvegena preritā yatra patati tataḥ pradeśād uddhṛtya punaḥ pātayitavyā yāvat tris tasya parimāṇo vā śamyāpātaḥ parihāraḥ | triguṇo nagarasya | grāmanagare prasiddhe | śamyāyāḥ pātāḥ preritāyā vegasaṃskārakṣayo bhūmau sthānādi || 8.237 ||
