yadā parabalānāṃ tu gamanīyatamo bhavet |
tadā tu saṃśrayet kṣipraṃ dhārmikaṃ balinaṃ nṛpam || Verse 7.174 ||
Medhātithi Manubhāṣya
gamanīyatamaḥ abhibhavanīyatamo durgastho'ham iti manyate, tadā kṣipraṃ durgam ujjhitvānyaṃ saṃśrayed dhārmikam | yataḥ kusṛtir nāśaṅkyate, yasya yaśomayī sthiraprakṛtiḥ | balinam ity etenaitat sudarśitam || 7.174 ||
