vasanasya daśā grāhyā śūdrayotkṛṣṭavedane || Verse 3.44 ||
Medhātithi Manubhāṣya
brāhmaṇenohyamānayā kṣatriyayā śaro brāhmaṇapāṇiparigṛhīto grāhyaḥ, pāṇigrahaṇasthāne śarasya vidhānāt | pratodo balīvardānām āyāsaḥ kriyate, yena vāhyamānāḥ pīḍyante hastinām ivāṅkuśaḥ | vasanasya vastrasya daśā grāhyā śūdrayā | utkṛṣṭajātīyair brāhmaṇādivarṇair vedane vivāhe || 3.44 ||
