Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. भीमसेनस्ततो राजन्नपनीते महाव्रते ।
प्रजज्वाल यथा वह्निर्दहन्कक्षमिवैधितः ॥ १०७ ॥

bhīmasenastato rājannapanīte mahāvrate |
prajajvāla yathā vahnirdahankakṣamivaidhitaḥ || 107 ||
