Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. व्यस्मयन्त ततो योधाः सर्वे तत्र समागताः ।
शरान्विसृजतोस्तूर्णं साधु साध्विति पूजयन् ॥ २२ ॥

vyasmayanta tato yodhāḥ sarve tatra samāgatāḥ |
śarānvisṛjatostūrṇaṃ sādhu sādhviti pūjayan || 22 ||
