Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. क्षिप्रं हि गावो बहुला भवन्ति न तासु रोगो भवतीह कश्चित् ।
तैस्तैरुपायैर्विदितं मयैतदेतानि शिल्पानि मयि स्थितानि ॥ १२ ॥

kṣipraṃ hi gāvo bahulā bhavanti na tāsu rogo bhavatīha kaścit |
taistairupāyairviditaṃ mayaitadetāni śilpāni mayi sthitāni || 12 ||
