Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. तैलाभिषिक्तो विकचो मज्जन्पङ्के दशाननः ।
असकृत्खरयुक्ते तु रथे नृत्यन्निव स्थितः ॥ ६४ ॥

tailābhiṣikto vikaco majjanpaṅke daśānanaḥ |
asakṛtkharayukte tu rathe nṛtyanniva sthitaḥ || 64 ||
