Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. स गत्वैवं तं राजानमब्रवीत् ॥ ५६ ॥ तं राजा प्रत्युवाच ।
राज्ञामेतद्वाहनम् ।
अनर्हा ब्राह्मणा रत्नानामेवंविधानाम् ।
किं च ब्राह्मणानामश्वैः कार्यम् ।
साधु प्रतिगम्यतामिति ॥ ५७ ॥
