Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. अथापश्यत्कन्यां परमरूपदर्शनीयां पुष्पाण्यवचिन्वतीं गायन्तीं च ॥ १० ॥ अथ सा राज्ञः समीपे पर्यक्रामत् ॥ ११ ॥ तामब्रवीद्राजा ।
कस्यासि सुभगे त्वमिति ॥ १२ ॥
