Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. वासुदेवसमं वीर्ये कार्तवीर्यसमं युधि ।
अजेयमजितं युद्धे तं न पश्यामि फल्गुनम् ॥ १९ ॥

vāsudevasamaṃ vīrye kārtavīryasamaṃ yudhi |
ajeyamajitaṃ yuddhe taṃ na paśyāmi phalgunam || 19 ||
