Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. किं नाम लोकेष्वविषह्यमस्ति कृष्णस्य सर्वेषु सदैवतेषु ।
आत्तायुधस्योत्तमबाणपाणेश्चक्रायुधस्याप्रतिमस्य युद्धे ॥ १६ ॥
